The favorites of this race were the unbeaten FG team Switzerland as well as the Lauterbacher team Belgium which was on the 2nd place in 2006. But as 24 hours are a really long time all other teams had a good chance to win, too. After a 30 minutes qualifying the FG team Switzerland with the drivers Roman Mohr, Placido Cricri, Marco Manz, Patrick Müller and Mario Hässig got the pole position. From the beginning on everything worked very well and the advance of the car with the starting number 1 increased lap by lap.
Already in the evening the FG team Switzerland led with several laps and could increase this advantage during the night up to 255 laps which was enough to snatch the victory again this year in front of the Lauterbacher team Belgium. Further more it was a new lap record of 2810 laps and approx. 1100 km. The 3rd place got the team Locher from Switzerland that was driving also very constantly during the race.
Important to know is that the winning team needed only one short stop of about 10 minutes to repair something, this a great proof regarding the quality of the FG EVO 07 model! The whole race distance was hold with the same engine (tuned by Cricri-Engines).
