EC 2003 - TOURING CARS 1:5 - LUXEMBOURG

It wasn’t going to be our European Championship. A small drop in the otherwise perfect FG balance. Already after the first pre-runs you could regognize that this was the EC of Markus Feldmann as he had superb lap times right from the beginning. Nevertheless we were well present in the front ranks with H. Roskam and H. Schiks. Unfortunately the german FG Team had greater failings and only H. Roskam from the FG Team Holland was qualified directly for the final. The following FG drivers were qualified for the final over the semifinals: H. Schiks, K. Murby, O. Sampietro, C. Flakowski and L. Collari.

Markus Feldmann won the final with a start-finish victory. The FG drivers Roskam and Schiks could have finished second and third, but unfortunately they both ran out of fuel exactly on the same spot shortly before the end of the race. L. Collari had to drop out of the race according to a defective servo.

Summary: We did not win this European Championship. But among the first 24 participants there were 12 FGs, which means 50 % and that with 8 manufacturers. Under this aspect the FG Competition still seems to be the best model,
perhaps in this year just the (best) driver was missing?
