1:5 TOURING CARS EM 2009 - BROOKLAND (GB)

The European Championship 2009 of Touringcars took place on the track in Brookland/Great Britain. This year training started already on Mondays and the far over 100 participants made their partly first introduction to this track. Right from the beginning it was obvious that this track surely had its difficulties which would separate the wheat from the chaff in no time. Not only ultimate requirements on the chassis, but also top driving skills were demanded here.

Already training and qualification runs showed that the FG Team with their FG EVO 09 models convinced entirely. Markus Feldmann reached as single driver 31 laps and gained the pole position, which was an excellent result.

The final heats rendered exciting duels and presented motor sports extreme to the spectators. The weather kept quite solid after the ups and downs of the past days and it was also very warm on Sunday.

Semi-final B was won by Kiwitt in front of Arnaldi, Sampietro, Brière and Marek. In the semi-final A Feldmann presented an one-man-show and won in front of Lissau, Prévot, Solon and Martelli.

So all in all 7 FG EVO 09 entered the final.

M. Feldmann started in the final over 30 minutes from the pole. During the first 5 minutes M. Feldmann and M. Kiwitt faught for the lead, but then M. Feldmann was able to pull away and in the end he won with over one lap in front of O. Sampietro and M. Brière.
