2001 will probably become the most successful year for FG and its Team. After the convincing victory of the European Championship in Lostallo FG also won the first World Championship 2001 in Karlsruhe through Marcel Strauch, a Junior FG Team driver. Alone seven from ten models taking part in the final were FG Competitions, further one Lauterbacher, one Harm and one Bergonzoni.
However, this World Championship was overshadowed by the disqualification of the time-fastest FG Team driver Lamberto Collari due to apparently proved illegal used fuel, which could not be evidenced at the time of disqualification and which is still unsettled until today. All the more we could be pleased about the victory of this first World Championship through the non-favourite Marcel Strauch with FG Competition. |

| After the qualifying or before the final respectively the models are dismantled once again. Every even so small detail has to be checked, often renewed and installed again. During the race season we permanently make further developments and improvements. Only this way victories and constant successes over many years are guaranteed. |
